Our Experience at Barber Expo Asia 2024: A Major Milestone
Setting up the booth for Haestic Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. at Barber Expo Asia 2024, held at Pavilion Bukit Jalil, was a huge milestone for Dejuamon. This was our first time handling such a large-scale event, and it was an experience we’ll never forget.
The biggest challenge? We had less than 24 hours to finish the booth before the event started. It was a race against time, with lots of last-minute changes, rules to follow, and unexpected costs. The team worked non-stop, pushing through the exhaustion to deliver the best results without compromising on quality.
One of the toughest moments came when we had to hang a square box 18 meters high, from floor to ceiling, using a rigging system. It was our first time operating a scissor lift, and let’s just say it was a bit nerve-wracking—but we got it done.
Despite the long hours and the pressure, everything came together perfectly in the end. When we saw the completed booth, all the hard work felt totally worth it. It was a true sense of achievement, like we’d just leveled up in our industry.
A huge thank you goes out to our incredible crew, who gave their all during those intense hours. Your dedication and hard work made this possible. We’d also like to extend our gratitude to the support team, who provided the essential resources and assistance behind the scenes. To our client, Haestic Malaysia Sdn. Bhd., thank you for trusting us with your vision and allowing us to bring it to life. And last but not least, a big thank you to the organizers of Barber Expo Asia for putting together such an amazing event and for making the entire process run smoothly.
This project was challenging, but it showed us just how far we’ve come. We’re proud of what we accomplished and can’t wait for the next big project!
A Collaboration in Craft: Dejuamon’s Full Customization for a 49ft Catamaran Yacht
Dejuamon Sdn. Bhd. proudly completed a full customization and interior design project for a stunning catamaran yacht measuring 49ft in length and 23ft in beamwidth. This project was a collaboration with one of the top boat makers in Penang, well-known for their many years of expertise in high-quality fiberglass works. Our scope of work covered a complete transformation of the yacht’s interior—including yacht flooring, sliding doors, windows, and comprehensive upholstery works for all seating, wall panels, and ceilings. We also designed and built two custom cabins with tailor-made beds perfectly fitted to the yacht’s layout for both functionality and comfort.
This project was completed within a tight schedule—two weeks of fabrication and preparation at our Dejuamon workshop, followed by four weeks of on-site installation and finishing at the client’s shipyard. What makes this project truly special—and one of our favorites—is how it reflects our roots. Dejuamon has specialized in solid wood craftsmanship since the beginning of our journey, and this project allowed us to bring that same precision and artistry into a marine environment. Every detail was carefully handcrafted by our own in-house carpenters, ensuring the client received exceptional quality and value.
Our client appreciated not only the finishing and workmanship but also the advantage of working with a team that can design, advise, and build all under one roof. Although this yacht project was quite different from our usual residential and commercial interior designs, it showcased our adaptability and passion for craftsmanship. Seeing the yacht perform beautifully during sea trials day was a proud and joyful moment for our entire team, which was a true reflection of Dejuamon’s dedication to excellence and creativity in every space we touch.
